through it on on my podcast and I don’t really give lots of context in the epoisode; so, below is the context for those that will inevitably want to know more. These are MY THOUGHTS on infertility, and the link to a series of older posts I’ve written about the topic called MOTHERHOOD and LACK THERE-OF. ( *all links are below ) And yes, I know this is a touchy subject and that many have opinions about it, that is why I felt led to make sure I left NO ROOM for any confusion. So here some thoughts and clarity to what I don’t fully clarify on Episode 003: The one about purpose _______________ I usually by-pass people’s social media rants and posts and NEVER do this. But I have had some convos recently with some dear friends who are walking out the same journey and just want to put this out there for those who are struggling with INFERTILITY and for those that are not but seem to have an opinion. —- Infertility is NOT my battle, neither is barrenness. My battle is with the misconception in our culture that FRUIT of ones life can only be valued by ones ability to reproduce in the flesh. There is no bareness in the KINGDOM, and we are ALL given the mandate to be fruitful and multiply. The world is just broken and so as a result some of us are given the amazing privilege to produce fruit that blooms differently in less than ideal soil. This is not a scarlet letter that shows that we are lacking as women, or that we’ve done something wrong; nor does it mean we haven’t prayed enough, or that we’ve given up on the dream. PLEASE, stop asking us weird questions, or giving advice, or telling us how you had a friend who went through the same thing. Your friend is NOT us, our stories are NOT the same, and we know you mean it as encouraging. I’ll say most of the time It doesn’t encourage us, it just reminds us of peoples perception that we are less than. WHICH WE ARE NOT! So, if you are out there fighting infertility, know that you can take a break as the victory was already won on the cross. Your life and dream of kiddos is valid and awesome but it shouldn’t be your life goal, Jesus should be. If it happens, awesome!!! But if it doesn’t, your life isn’t over, it’s just beginning. Be encouraged, cultivate the soil of your life and tend to the fruit God has placed before you. It’s there, you just have to take off the false cultural, and traditional stereotype filter and see yourself through the eyes of your heavenly Father! You are PERFECT, you are an INTEGRAL an IRREPLACEABLE part of His plan. WALK THAT OUT! — motherhood and lack there-of – Part 1 motherhood and lack there-of – Part 2 motherhood and lack there-of – Part 3 motherhood and lack there-of – Part 4 motherhood and lack there-of – The Finale Okay, I am done. Stepping off my soapbox now. xo Chari ]]>
